Do you have an insatiable curiosity and are you always trying to find how things work? Do you find magic in simple things and wonder about everyday objects and phenomenon:
– why does the moon appear bigger when it is closer to the horizon?
– why is the sky blue in the day and red/orange in the morning and evening?
– why, when I look out of a moving train, are the trees racing behind but the moon appears to follow the train?
Are you passionate about science? Do you
- like to discuss scientific phenomenon
- like to do experiments and tinker
- love to watch Youtube videos on science e.g. Veritasium, PBS Space Time, Crash Course, Physics Girl etc
- like creating things, inventing stuff
If your answer to some of the above questions is yes, and you are in any of the grades 9 to 12, then you are a natural Jigyasa ambassador, a curiosity creator.
If you are interested in inculcating curiosity and introducing the magic of science to youngsters from the underprivileged sections of the society, then contact us.
We will provide you will detailed information on how to conduct these sessions. This will include detailed session plans, including list of possible questions students may ask or you should ask to engage them, list of materials and equipment to conduct experiments and videos of the experiments.
You can check out some photos and video clips from some our past sessions here.
Give people facts and you feed their minds for an hour. Awaken curiosity and they feed their own minds for a lifetime.
